Tax preparation

Returns prepared by an Enrolled Agent, in Loveland.

Individual, business, and multi-state returns, filed on time and explained in plain language. Fixed fee, quoted before we start, for clients across Northern Colorado and remote nationwide.

What we file

The returns most people actually need.

One person prepares it, reviews it, and answers the phone about it later. That is the whole model.

01

Individual returns

A 1040 done properly, with someone reading it rather than a screen filling itself in. We tell you what the return says about your year, not just what you owe.

  • W-2, 1099, and mixed-income years
  • Schedule C for freelancers and sole proprietors
  • Rental property and investment income
  • Credits and deductions you actually qualify for
02

S-Corp and partnership returns

An 1120-S or 1065 filed on time, with K-1s that match the books and owner pay that holds up if anyone asks.

  • 1120-S and 1065 preparation
  • K-1s issued to every owner
  • Reasonable compensation reviewed alongside the return
  • Coordination with your personal 1040
03

Multi-state and first-year filings

Moved states, worked remote for an out-of-state employer, or filed for the first time as a business. These are the returns that get quietly wrong, so we slow down on them.

  • Part-year and nonresident state returns
  • Remote work across state lines
  • First business return after formation
  • Prior-year returns that were never filed
04

IRS notices and representation

Abel is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS. A letter in the mail is a thing to answer, not a thing to panic about.

  • Reading the notice and telling you what it means
  • Responding on your behalf
  • Amended returns when something was missed
  • Payment plans when the balance is real

How the season goes

Send it in, then hear from a person.

You upload documents to the client portal, we prepare the return and come back with questions in one batch rather than five emails, then we walk you through what changed from last year before anything is filed.

If your books are behind, start with monthly bookkeeping. If you own a business, the return is the easy half and small business tax planning is where the number actually moves.
